Welcome to Valley Elementary Computer Lab!  In this class, we will learn about the computer and how to use basic computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite.  We will also learn how to navigate on the internet, search for information, and about internet safety.  Grades 2-6 will also learn how to type!

Many of the skills we learn in this class will be practiced using fun websites and computer games.  For example, kindergarten is learning how to manipulate the mouse by playing games that involve clicking objects of a certain color or sorting objects by dragging them to a specific place.  So, if you ask your child what they did in computer lab and they answer, "We just played games," know that they are really doing more than that.  :)
